I am a Certified Master Gardener, PLANET CLT-E, Certified Chemical Applicator, ISA trained arborist, and ProLandscape CAD Designer.
I am a veteran of the U.S. Army and earned degrees in landscape management and horticulture from Fort Hays State University. I have been involved in the landscape industry (the original “Green Industry”) for over 20 years. Most of all, I love my clients and really love helping them make great decisions about their landscapes and gardens! In my spare time, I lay out and tend the Journey organic garden, which gives all the produce to the Koinonia Foundation to assist those in need of fresh produce.
I focus on three items with each client:
I listen closely to your goals and desires, and and work with you to get the most out of your dollar. Sometimes clients have no ideas and look to me to make suggestions and that can be a lot of fun too.
I am driven to share what works and doesn’t from a horticultural standpoint. I will be completely honest with you. If you want me to install plants in the full sun that need full shade, I am going to tell you that is a bad idea.
I am going to help you spend your landscape dollars as wisely as possible. Unfortunately, there are tasks being completed everyday out there that are wastes of time and money or bring very little benefit if any for the dollars spent. I will help you analyze what you need and what you don’t need.
Most of all I really enjoy what I do and the people I help. I spend many hours every day working. I like to have fun working and love to work with other people who like to have fun too. We often spend more time with our clients and business associates than we do with our families, so we might as well have a good time while we work!
